If you are asking yourself ‘how do I start running’ or if you have experience and want to know ‘how do I get faster at running’, then you’ve come to the right place! FEAR Coaching offers multiple services for you to choose, across multiple surfaces such as road, track, or trail. I generally recommend a 14-16 week marathon training plan if you have prior running experience. If this is your first marathon, I would suggest 16-20 weeks to get you ready! This will vary for each runner after we have an initial call to discuss your running and athletic history.
For those looking for a half marathon training plan, 12-16 weeks is recommend. This will also vary depending on the athletes previous history and current fitness. Anything below those distances, such as a 5k or 10k run, will vary among the athlete’s current training schedule and their goals. Runners that want to brave an ultra marathon (anything over a marathon distance), I would recommend a 16-20 week training block. FEAR Coaching will service our athlete’s needs for any required distance. If you can dream it, I will build a plan around it.
All plans are delivered on a weekly basis by way of Final Surge (subscription is included with your coaching). Runners will also have full access to call, text, or email me at any time. Additionally, I offer a referral discount program. If you refer someone to FEAR Coaching, and they commit to at least 3 months of training, you will receive 10% off your next training plan! Take advantage of the referral program today!

Trail Runner - Beginner Plan
The trail runner beginner plan is ideally for a runner who has never run on trails before, but is trail-curious. There is a lot of thought that goes into trail running, aside from the running itself such as navigation, footing, reading trail signs, wildlife. We’ll start there!Â
Consistent training is still the number tool to become a better runner. This won't change for trails. We'll start with getting on trails once per week. If you are a beginner runner we will start with 3-4 days of running and if you are a more advanced runner but new to trails we'll run 5-6 days per week.
As part of training for trail running or trail races, you'll want to learn the trails. I will assist you in reading trails makers and maps, as well as assisting in building you GPX files so you can follow trails directly from your GPS watch.
We'll focus on running specific nutrition that will support your training and race day endeavors. Carbs, electrolytes, gels, OH MY!
Much like the beginner road plan, we will do speed work at least one day per week to improve your running economy over trails.Â

I like to have my advanced trail runners doing two speed sessions per week. One of which will be on the road, where we can run a little faster, and the second on the trails focusing more on time at intensity rather than pace.
